2 Experienced Kitchen Workers Wanted – minimum 4-Month Contract at Arctic Soups

A total of 150% is available: 1 position at 100% and 1 position at 50%, with the possibility of additional hours for the 50% position. Do you enjoy cooking but want a calmer and more predictable working environment? Arctic Soups is looking for two experienced kitchen workers to join our team for the winter season. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a kitchen and wants a more predictable working environment than a busy restaurant kitchen. The majority of your time will be spent in the kitchen , preparing and producing soups and other food in larger quantities. From time to time, you will also help with deliveries to tourism businesses in the Tromsø area. This gives you the opportunity to combine your kitchen work with some driving and meeting customers from the tourism industry. We are a catering company centrally located near Tromsø city centre. During the winter season, we supply soups to tourism businesses throughout the Tromsø area. About the positions We are looking to fill a total of 150% across two positions : Position 1 -- 100% Start: 1 November 2026 Full-time position at 100% Contract until 1 March 2027 Position 2 -- 50% Start: 1 November 2026 Part-time position at 50% There may be an opportunity for additional hours , depending on availability and the needs of the business Contract until 1 March 2027 Working hours Mainly daytime shifts , normally between 10:00 and 18:00 The majority of working time will be spent in the kitchen Some deliveries will be part of the job Some flexibility in working hours may be possible by agreement Your responsibilities Your main responsibilities will be in the kitchen and may include: Preparing and cooking soups and other food in larger quantities Following recipes, routines and food-safety procedures Preparing orders for delivery Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen Ensuring consistent quality in everything we produce Occasionally delivering soups to tourism businesses in the Tromsø area Meeting customers during deliveries and representing Arctic Soups in a professional manner Working efficiently both independently and as part of a team We are looking for someone who Is at least 25 years old Please provide two professional references, including their contact details and your relationship to each reference. Has relevant kitchen experience Has experience preparing food in larger quantities Is reliable, structured and quality-conscious Can work independently while also being a good team player Is accurate and comfortable following routines and procedures Speaks English well Takes pride in producing high-quality food Is comfortable occasionally helping with deliveries and customer contact A Category B driving licence is an advantage, but not a requirement . Experience driving in winter conditions is also an advantage. Accuracy and the ability to follow procedures are very important in this position, as quality is our highest priority.
