Hva vi ser etter We are looking for a skilled, passionate and experienced butcher who is ready to take responsibility for our fresh meat department at EUROSPAR Moa in Ålesund, Norway. The ideal candidate combines traditional butchery skills with leadership abilities, commercial understanding and a genuine passion for quality meat. Qualifications and personal qualities: Professional experience as a butcher, preferably in a supermarket or retail meat department. Strong knowledge of meat cutting, preparation, presentation and quality control. Experience in leading or supervising a team, or the ambition to develop into a leadership position. Good understanding of food safety, hygiene and quality standards. A passion for customer service and sharing knowledge about meat and cooking. Ability to work independently, take responsibility and motivate colleagues. Good communication skills in English. Willingness to learn Norwegian is an advantage. A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to contribute to the success of our department. Your responsibilities will include: Managing the daily operations of the fresh meat department, preparing and presenting quality meat products, supervising employees, maintaining high standards and developing attractive products for our customers. Key Responsibilities Cutting, preparing, packing and presenting fresh meat and specialty products Leading, motivating and developing team members Planning daily operations, ordering products and managing stock Ensuring excellent product quality, freshness, hygiene and food safety Providing customers with professional advice on meat products and preparation Contributing to efficient operations, profitability and strong sales performance Developing the department's product selection and customer experience Who Are We Looking For? Experience as a butcher, retail butcher, chef or in a similar food-related position A genuine passion for meat, fresh food and quality craftsmanship Strong organizational skills and a structured approach to work A customer-focused attitude and good communication skills The ability to take responsibility, motivate colleagues and work as part of a team Previous leadership experience is an advantage, but not essential A positive attitude and a desire to develop both yourself and the department What We Offer A full-time (100%) management position A
